My ’22 wedding season kicked off with Adam & Rachel’s love filled wedding day at a stunning campground venue in PA.
I met Adam and Rachel over a year prior to this day, when we spent hours together at the Gray Towers in Milford, PA documenting their love with an engagement session. It was as clear then as it was now – their love is real and deep and this wedding day was their dream.
Prep had all of the classic elements: a bridal crew ready to have fun, family and friends pouring in and eager to celebrate, an emotional first look with Dad, and a hearty group of groomsmen committed to making sure their guy was ready for his Bride.
Catalpa offered a lot of different areas for prep shots that didn’t require extensive means of travel, giving us the opportunity to document a lot of different parts of the day and really maximize my time with Rachel, Adam, and their crew.
There wasn’t a dry eye in sight for their ceremony, where the couple exchanged handwritten vows – always my favorite to witness. Rachel’s veil was a sight to see – magically being held by a caressing wind and giving a real storybook aesthetic.
And like any wedding where love is prevalant, there was no shortage of kisses.
The day rolled effortlessly into a reception that utilized both the gorgeous indoor spaces of the venue (including an overlooking loft) and the outdoor fire pit area.
My favorite type of wedding, though, allows some time for a second round of couple portraits. There’s nothing like wrapping up a wonderfully chaotic day with a few minutes of stepping away from the party and soaking in the newness that is you both and Mr. & Mrs. for the very first time.
